I see people complaining and cribbing so much about the social networking sites like orkut, twitter and majorly majorly FB!
I fail to understand the dimwits who do it!
Who the fuck made FB? We..dint we? normal people like us
And then we think we are important enought to condemn it?
What does FB do? It JUST only JUST gives us a platform to exercise the networking we might want to
Does it force us into anthing? NO! If you dont wish to be friends with someone..you have the freedom not to be.If someoen bores you with his/her updates..just choose not to see that person's updates
Its all and all about you..its a choice you made..like everything else in life
I guess its you who is picks up things for herself/himself...s/he is basically sick of her/his self more than the site...cos that will make that site all the more important to you!
Some people are always whining on FB..of lost love..of how everyone else is bullshit
Some people only talk of sports
Some like to share trivia..cos their lives dont have much to offer to the world
So what?
Just let them be..you be yourself and choose what you want to see..if you can not..that describes you
So as it has always been...life is all about what you choose!

That's the problem. Some people have to take out their frustration on someone or something... some people cant bear to see others live their life the way they want, let alone be happy.
Bilkul sach kaha aap ne. Some people are neurotic kill-joys, fault-finding individuals who are more into what others are doing than what they themselves wish to do. I enjoy interacting regularly with lovers of literature, esp. poetry on FB.

Syed - I fail to understand how people find out time to crib about FB or what others write on it. They talk of not having time to do something fun yet they have time to do something destructive
Very tentatively let me say something in this context :) Tentative because I know you're a bit annoyed with me because of my last comment, still I can't resist :)
I wasted half of my youth on Orkut, sighing and lamenting over lost love, without putting any blame on anyone except myself. Orkut became my drawing room, my playground and my bedroom! I used to change my display name/image 76 times a day and also created some 30+ communities. Unfortunately Larry Page or Sergey Brin didn't come to know about my activities there, otherwise they'd have offered me a marketing position in Orkut! On a serious note, those were the times I should have focused on earning and cementing my career.
Then I quit Orkut altogether and peeped into the world of Facebook, only to realise that social networking became a liability for me after some time because I had to do something or the other from time to time without really wanting to do anything at all. And in any case, I never had too many happening updates to share with friends. So I decided to shower a bit of kindness on my fellow Facebookians and deleted my account.
Still I won't say fb didn't teach me anything. The only insightful thing I learned from fb was that I'm much more comfortable with my friends face-to-face than I am on fb.
Really outspoken post... loved it.
Thanks Sayantan. And I dont remain annoyed with someone who says things in his best capacity, maybe its not the best for me or what I want to hear :)
But I dont think FB or orkut teach anything. You learn what you needed to learn otherwise I guess
