About Me

I am not your mystery woman, I am not your muse..I am not your soulmate, just a passionate woman looking for her own peace of mind... Heart is a lonely hunter!!! Marriage...

...is just a decision

Not driven by love, or passion
But just a desire to bring sanity to waywardness of your being

To bring equilibrium in the world, which might go haywire cos of your wanderings

Your scavenger heart would try to feed on innocent preys, Seeking, prodding, validating
Marriage might formalize a prey for you to do that

Both heart and mind needs to be hushed at times, this is what yoga has taught me
To attain balance..

So I will let this thought drive me henceforth, in any of my decisions

With just this hope :
That my heart will remember to breathe,
Undulate on its own momentum and beat
...Look for you in the mundane and extraordinary
Keep a wish alive and throbbing, every day
Hold on feverishly to a part of me, to that woman of desires
Irrespective of a life, which is meant to happen

there's a lot to like about your thought, the mundane and extraordinary, and to keep a wish alive and throbbing. i love when my passion is bursting. i have a mental image of a furnace room firing up.

the mind certainly does need to be hushed at times, oftentimes. i wise friend of mine says that the mind is constantly trying to become master, attempting to make us live in the past or future. the body lives in the present. centering prayer or yoga helps focus our thoughts. you are the second person in as many days to float the idea of yoga. hmmm....

I hope to God that it is not 'just' a decision for me.

Whenever I read you, the meek, boyish part in me says I better stop, while the dominant side urges me to keep reading lest I miss something worth taking note of, for the sake of my future wife!

Do you honestly think you can strike that perfect balance after marriage and never forget to "Hold on feverishly to...that woman of desires/ Irrespective of a life, which is meant to happen"?

Keep the 'woman' alive, breathing, dreaming, desiring and feeling.. hold on to all the fantasies .. i am doing that too!

scavenger heart .. aahaaa.. what a thought.. true too in many instances!

Still, there is no substitute to marriage. Its not bad as long as one knows to keep oneself happy!

Ed - Thanks. Yes Yoga has manifold benefits, depends on what one takes from it effectively.

Raaji - How I hoped for the moon :) But amen to your hope and wish

Sayantan - You have asked a very difficult question, which I try to avoid answering even to myself. So you are no meek boy :)

pygmalion - I know, whats a woman without her desires! And I totally agree that there is no substitute to marriage. Its validates you to the world, maybe...

I have hushed my mind and heart a lot, a lot for years. Now, I think it has become a habit. A part of me still lives in refrained boundaries of my subconscious....

Yoga helps a lot! A lot.

As someone contemplating matrimony, this is like gospel

Fall in love today, now, in this moment. Feel its highs and lows, its secret ecstasies and wonders, in the mundane and the extraordinary. Fall in love with someone who is impossible, who makes you feel in extremes, who pushes you to the brink and pulls you back. Marry someone with a low tailside risk. Love someone with a high risk, because that gives higher returns, even if with a lower probability.

Pesto Sauce - Sooner we learn, the better. You can have some more from me you if would like to :)

Aporia - I am a fan of your blog and what you wrote here summarizes exactly what i feel. Thanks

Marriage (an age to be marred) has no bearing on or binding with the scavenger heart. If the heart is a scavenger then it continues it prowl, irrespective of the state of mind, time of the day, or flow of tide.. maybe a marriage can termporarily silence it though. :(

Vikas - Stop being pessimistic..its the time to love :)

ayyo saary ree.

but what's with time and love? I thought they both are unrelated concepts too. Love is timeless while time does not love anybody, it just keeps moving on.

yen time-o? yen love-o?

WomanInLove said...

Vikas - Whats Yen? As in Yin and Yang? :)

VNP said...

Yen, is it?

It meeeanss.. aaah.. It's this one.. what they say.. like this one ya.. you see what I mean.. they say na.. arey that one only.. everyone says it.. its so common.. come on ya.. everyone knows it.. it is... is..

ok fine! I copied it. I will try to find out what it means. :(

"But just a desire to bring sanity to waywardness of your being" - So true...

And it's not just a decision you make on the day you get married, but it's a conscious choice to abide by the decision every day...Not that, that's a bad thing! :)

WomanInLove said...

Megha - I agree that there is a time for everything in life

Noor - I do and I liked quite a few of your posts. Why would you say that I dont? I chanced upon your blog only today after seeing your comment here

Shruti - Yes it is a conscious choice, on all parameters, weighing the ones which matter the most. And the priorities do change as you grow older

I was kidding, woman!

Thank you for your kind words on my posts (:

hmm now I know the need for a rant :)

Oft we stray from the intended course
Then come back elsewhere for nothing
A package honourably torn in 3 parts
For those who have a hobby of loving

WomanInLove said...

Sayantan - Always welcome, ranting is a good business :)

Hmmm... can't bring myself to agree to that !
I think marriage challenges you to be so much better than you ever thought you could be. You know, when you have to be willing to make
the family out of whatever you have....

But don't listen to me - I just saw "Away we go"...
So I'm still in it's shadow !

WomanInLove said...

Ankur - Marriage for me is everything. But when we make something everything, we become nothing. Thats why, these thoughts
I should watch this movie
